Švyturys Juodas is a new member of the Švyturys Traditional Collection. Švyturys Juodas is light but dark-colored beer with the sharp taste of coffee. Barley, roasted in an open flame, rand smoked malt create an eccentric Švyturys Juodas aroma. This beer has a strong character, but it is also light in taste, distinguished by its chestnut color foam.

Can sample at a tasting at Max's place. Thanks Tom L. Black, tan foam. Roast, chocolate, coffee, a bit dusty, sweetish, bitterish finish, medium-bodied. OK.

Can (at Saku gastropub). Pours black with beige head. The head stays. Aroma is roast, grains, malt. Flavor is sweet, bitter, dry, roast, grains, slight carboard. Finish is roast bitter. Body is thin. Overall: okish for macro low ABV stout.

Can. Dark brown with noisy brown foam. Aroma: caramel and other roasted malt, light sweetness and smoke. Taste: sweet, caramel, a little fruit, light smoke, a bit watery.

Can. Deep brown. Opaque. Airy beige head. Sweet molasses, light roastiness, chocolate on nose. Light body. Rather sweet taste that is similar to the aroma. Low bitterness. Drinkable. Obviously not dry enough for the style.
