Can from RCSS. Red tinged black pour with a one finger dense lingering khaki head that leaves significant lace. Nose has a ton of roasted malt, smoke, molasses, dark chocolate, coffee and a big pine and citrus hop presence. Flavour is lightly sweet molasses with a big bitterness of dark chocolate and resin that hangs around through the long finish. Mouth is medium+ and oily with above average carbonation and a lingering dry bitter finish. 8+/4/8-/4/16

500mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out lots of roasted malt and dry piney hops. Flavour is very well-balanced with roasted malt and piney hops. Dry and roasty ,but not harsh at all. Very good stuff.

This iOS poured a deep black colour with a nice creamy tan head. Scents include grass, smoke, molasses and Melloids. First swig was nice and toasty with a great amount of grassy hop flavour. Finish is burnt and the medium bitterness lingers.

what a beautifully balanced beer this is, packed with malt and hops and hiding its 6.8% alcohol with ease. It has aromas of chocolate, coffee, bread, grapefruit, lemon, cherry and marshmallow. The flavours are similar with the grapefruit and roasted coffee dominating at the end. Brilliant.
