Like a charming lady, Cortigiana uses her weapons to seduce every palate. An Italian interpretation of a Belgian Blanche in perfect Birra Del Borgo style. We use alternative cereals in addition to barley malt: buckwheat, einkorn and a small percentage of oat flakes. The hops are moderate while the spices are generously added during the last step of the boiling: we add a good amount of ginger to the classic coriander and orange peel. The result is a very fresh, smooth and elegant Blanche with a unique aromatic profile.

Tap at Gar Eden. Pale blond colour, creamy white head. Aroma is quite Belgian, grainy and bit of fruit. Taste is grainy, slightly herbal, bit of creaminess, light tropical fruit, peach and touch of citrus. Honey too. Pretty nice and good to find an easy drinking saison as recently people seem to be making them quite boozy. Quite soft.

Bottle, small stable bubbly head, a bit hazy deepish golden color, aroma of waffle, minerals, citrus and a vinous hint, flavor of peach, minerals and some waffle in the back, a bit harsh shrubby bitterness. Nice.

330ml bottle bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Low, bubbly head over a misty yellow-greenish body. Spotty lacing. Mid-sweet pale malty nose, hints of yeasty fruitiness. Moderate honeyed sweet fruity flavours, some impacts of spices. Mid-sweet, drying fruity ending. Medium bodied. Okay, rather empty though. (Tromsø 01.09.2018).
