The General is the name of our mighty, oak vat in which only our best vintage ciders are aged. It is bold and satisfying with notes of Seville orange, plum and baked apple, rich and rewarding with a long, warming finish.

BIAB @ Shrewsbury hotel, Shrewsbury. Pours deep gold. Woody aroma, some boozy brandy hints but that could be the ABV, some overripe apples. Alright.

Box @ Saxon Crown, Corby. Pale gold colour. Strong but palatable. Wood is evident in its taste and it’s quite dry. Has a steady apple flavour.
