Medium, murky brown with a thin head. Tons of whisky in the nose with little else. It opens in the mouth adding sweet caramel malt, toasted bread, honey, esters, raisins. Medium bodied. Finish is warm and boozy. This was a difficult beer to nail down. It’s too sweet and the whisky is a bit much throughout, but it does present some interesting notes and isn’t a mess so much as just a bit disjointed. It’s fine.

330ml (thx, Renny!) @ SF
Aroma: dark fruits, quite sweet and bold, some Belgian esters.
Taste: along the same lines, a bit boozy, messy.
Overall: meh.

Pale, amber, slight haze. The aroma is quite estery, some plastic notes. On the palate, it's sticky, phenolic, some esters. There's a bit of malt but it's not all that complex. A touch of honeyish note. A bit of alcohol in there as well, but it's pretty messy.

330mL bottle, pours a dark amber, tiny beige head. Aroma has tons of Belgian yeast, lots of esters, some barrels, and candi sugar. Flavour has plenty of esters from what I assume is Belgian yeast, candi sugar, whiskey barrels, and some raisins. A bit too estery and chaotic, leaving notes of cotton candy and booze. Lacking cohesion; needs some work, but not bad.

Poured from 330mL bottle. Hazy orangey brown with no head. Mild woody whiskey barrel, belgian yeast, esters and dark fruit, decent, but messy.

330mL bottle. Pours clear amber with a minimal head. Estery Belgian yeast, some candy sugars and dried fruits on the nose. Flavour has fairly rough esters, light brown sugar, dried fruits; not getting much whiskey barrels aside from a boozy finish. Not bad, but pretty far from good.

Fles gedeeld met LiekevdV, Inoven, Keukeman en Roelzie. Het is een licht troebel roodbruin bier. Het heeft een aroma van rozijnen. De smaak is vol fruitig, zacht zoet en lichte whisky tonen.

Pours clear, dark copper. Scent is dried fruits (figs) . Quite fine, with a deep backbone. Taste is sharp, very BW-like. Elegant, yet deep. Dried fruits. Intense, thick body. Low carbo. Fairly complex. Sugary, not bad at all !

Draught Red cognac-colour, no carbonation. Deep rich alcohol/fusels' nose with dried red fruit. Sweet, syrupy. Again dried fruit as figs, dates, raisins. Dessert wine. Very slick, syrupy, furious alcoholheat. A fiery one indeed, but slightly too sweet for my preference.
