.75 bouteille. Poured dark with moderate head. This was actually more of a Belgian Dubbel than a Bayerische Doppel, lots of candy and chocolate and alcohol. OK but hard to swig more than a few small glasses.

Bottle. One of the best dopplebocks I've had outside of Germany. Hazy copper-brown in color with a light Tan, two finger head that drops to a small head that stays. Aroma is molasses and dried fruit. Taste is sweet upfront, roasted grains and molasses in the middle with a sweet finish. Really good.

BLACK pour, quite a bit darker than i expected Aroma of sweet malt, and some peppery alcohol. The flavor was sweet, and a sort of tangy. This is not as malty as i expected. There is more of a vinous port wine flavor than the malt bomb i was expecting. Still very good, but a little off he style for my taste.

Optisch dunkles Braun, in der Nase Trauben, Feigen, Äpfel, sehr fruchtig. Im Trunk ebenso würzig, wundervolle Aromen, Honig, süß, fast schon süffig, cremig, ausgesprochen lecker.

Looks expensive, let's do it. 220 batch, aged 2 years. Smell- medium strong, malt, caramel, kvass notes. Foam- thin, malt, caramel, roast, alcohol. Head is quite large, white-brown color. Appearance- corked bottle, looks expensive and fancy, so bonus point. Clear red-brown color, no carbonation. From- pint Price - 14.07 euros for 0.75 bottle.. expensive Taste- Carmel, malt, sweetness, spice. Quite malty and caramelly, rather sweet also. Tasty, but a bit boozy. All things considered quite nice, but lacking to be great.

750ml corked and caged bottle. Pours a murky orange-brown with a medium, creamy, long lasting, beige head that laces. Sweet aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, toffee, cherry, plum and raisin. Sweet, complex flavour of roasted malt, bread, caramel, toffee, plum, prune, fig, raisin, date, cherry, orange, molasses and cinnamon with a dry, warming booze finish. Medium to full body with a creamy, smooth, oily texture and soft carbonation. Excellent, complex and tasty. A world class Doppelbock.
