A crisp, light pale using Amarillo hops to deliver mellow citrus and grapefruit tones in aroma and on the palate, with a pleasant lingering bitterness on the way down.

Cask at Smithfield, Derby. Pours a golden yellow with a small white head and good lacing. Not much of an aroma, just some vague generic citrus. Sweet and fruity in the mouth, with berry fruits and a little citrus and underlying caramel. Finish is quite dry and slightly bitter. It’s OK, but somewhat forgettable.

Can from Northumbrian Gifts. Appearance - golden with attractive white lacing. Nose - herbs, possibly thyme upfront then grapefruit and pith. Taste - more thyme and grapefruit but caramel is predominant. Palate - light bodied, creamy texture. Dry finish. Overall - a big weird but ok.
