750mL bottle, pours a deep dark burgundy with a small off-white head. Aroma has pungent apple core, huge blueberries, and some buried funk. Flavour is full of intense, rotting apple core, wood glue, gentle funk, and a touch of acidic blueberries. This is pretty rough—so much rotting apple core and wood glue. This isn’t up to speed compared to usual Publitasting lambics. Not egregious, but definitely very far from a top-tier lambic.

Hazy purple. Fresh berry character, lots of acidity. The berry character is fairly strong, and the apple note is cidery and is messy, incongruous, in terms of the clash between berry and apple here.

Poured from 750mL bottle (2023 vintage). Cloudy purple-ish brown with small off white head. Earthy apple, light blueberry, wood glue, touch of phenolic notes, underlying tartness, rough.

2023 vintage. 375 ml bottle. Pour a light brownish purple with light head. Aromas of cassis, blueberries, a bit of farmyard, and soft wheaty malts. Flavors of blueberries and green apples with some tart grape skins and sharp wheaty malts.

75cl bottle @ Belgian Beer Geeks Winter Gathering. Misty deep purple appearance, white head. Interesting blueberry / apple hybrid.. seems a little jarring at times, can't say the apple is fully welcome but it's tolerated whilst you search for more blueberries. Moderately sweet, nicely sour. Generally decent

1/III/25 - 75cl bottle @ Belgian Beer Geek Gathering (2025 Winter/Spring edition), BB: 31/XII/27 (2025-181) Thanks to Bierridder for sharing the bottle!

Cloudy dark purple beer, small creamy pink head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: fruity, blueberries indeed, funky, brett, woody, ok. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: very sourish, lots of blueberries, some vinegar, woody, tannins, bitter touch. Aftertaste: nice acidity, lots of malic acid, fruity, pleasant finish. Good decent fruit lambic.

Bouteille 75cl @ Belgian Winter gathering 01 March 2025 – Tim’s place, thanks Siegfried.

Very pale pink medium head, reasonably stable over fully opaque dark red purplish beer with indeed pieces of fruit. Fruitaroma, but also banana, diary, and something strangely boozy, or even white spirit like. Warming up, this unwelcome aroma transcends into a whisky-like smell. Quite sour, lactic, fruitacids, and indeed, sour apple, crabapple, appleskins. Fine flavours, if not much aftertaste nor lingering aromas. Fruited buttermilk. Feels almost as Champenoise pearling, further alleviating the already light body, acidthinning, mild acidburn. Not as convincing as some blends.
