Bottle from Melger's, Haarlem. Sweet dark malt with oak chips, chocolate, caramel, hint of bourbon. Port is too subtle, it's mostly in the smell. Hoped for way more barrel, this is a bit disappointing.

Интересно сразу с запаха, очень приятный аромат легкого дымка от дерева, умеренная сладость карамельная, немного шоколада с какао. Цвет черный, пенки нету. Вкус еще интереснее, дымка смешалась с бочкой и карамелькой от виски что дало уникальный вкус вроде бы классическому имперцу, с его сухостью от какао. Уникално прям.

Sample (thanks omhper!). Black colour, mediumsized beigeish brown head. Aroma is liquorice, chocolate, some toast and mild wooden tones. Flavour is chocolate, liquorice, toast, some syrup and mild alcohol. Creamy and coffeeish too in the aftertaste. Rather sweet beer, though aroma hides that fact quite well.

--Bottled, from Systembolaget. -- Black, miniscule brown head. Aroma of chocolate, ash and port wine. Extremely sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Syrup and port, ash and raisins. Excessive sweetness takes the upper hand, and drowns all nuances.

(Note: Different barrel aged entry to previous version added Scotch Whisky and Tawny Port barrels and lower abv) Shared at Palace Hall, Malmö March 2024 tasting (23/03/2024) - dark roasted and sweet malty with lots of silky chocolate, overlayed toffee and caramel like sweetness, full bodied, bourbon and port kissed barrel aged action into the warming malty close.
