Bottle, at Nødingen. A clear chestnut colored beer with a dense, dark beige head. The aroma has nuts, chocolate and roasted malts, with some alcohol. There's a good sweetness in the flavor, with sufficient bitterness to deal with it, and there's chocolate, nuts and roasted malts. Alcohol too, both initially and in the lasting finish. Full body, with some warmth. Sort of like a Belgian Dubbel in aroma and flavor profile, even though it's a Doppelbock. A rather sweet one, but very nice I think. 171103

Bottle. Pours a deep reddish brown colour with a beige head. Aroma of bread crust, heather, wood, leather and some alcohol. Flavour of licorice, alcohol, wood, dark chocolate and some coffee. Has a slick and soft mouth feel, medium to full body and a light bitterness. Malty and a little careful doppelbock.

Flaske 330ml fra Vinmonopolet Tromsø - Sentrum. Dyprød. Lavt tett lysebrunt skum. Lett nøttearoma. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken nøtter & knekk. Tørr & litt alkoholisk etter hvert. Masse bunnfall.

Medium brown head. Opaque black body. Spicy toasted sugar aroma with fruity toffee notes. Sweet caramelly syrupy taste with coffee and chocolate notes. Full body. Mild mouthfeel with some CO2 sting. Sweetish roasty caramelly and syrupy aftertaste with peppery fruity notes. Toasted brown sugar. Nice, drinkable, a little bit discordant. (0.33l bottle, from wine monopoly, Strømmen. Batch #1895.)

Mørk brun klar med høyt beige skum. Lukter svisker, lær noe kandis og noe papir. Middels fylde.

Mersmak. Har heldigvis en flaske hjemme som snart må testes.

Taste is slightly sweet boozy, dark sugar, raisins, fruit stones, yeast, alcohol, burnt toast, grass, dark malts, shed, candi sugar. Medium to longlasting bitterness, harsh boozy. Not really my cup of tea.

Transparent dark color with a fine head. Ok lacing. Ok intensity in the aroma. Medium + body and a bit to rich carbonation level. The carbonation level made this beer feel a bit thin. But very easy to drink. Toffee, dried fruit and dark malt.
