Bottle 33 cl. Pours black with an orange hue and a smallish, rough, beige head. Rose has licorice and some faint, underlying roastiness. Rich, sweet, licorice while the roastiness is downplayed. Some vanilla as well. Hardly any bitterness but some warming alcohol in the finish. 140425

Bottle (from Koulu Brewery Shop). Deep brown colour (pitch black until half bottle was poured!), small off-white head. Aroma is chocolaty, some roasted, some cocoa and liquorice with some alcohol sweetness too. Flavour is roasted, chocolaty, some liquorice, alcohol and mild yeasty tones. Pour carefully, theres a bunch of yeast in the bottle.

--Sample, thanks oh6gdx! -- Dark brown, small head. Aroma of treacle, coffee and tobacco. Mid sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Fudge, tobacco and coffee. Warming husky bitter finish.

ABV: 10.0%. Clear dark red brown colour with a small, fizzy, virtually none lacing, mostly diminishing, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, toasted - roasted, dark malt, sweet malt, moderate chocolate. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, dark malt, licorice - wood, sweet malt, chocolate - roasted. Body is medium to full, texture is oily - creamy, carbonation is soft, finish feel is warming and light alcoholic. [20240424]
