どんなホップを使っているか、他のタイプのビールよりもフォーカスされることが多いアメリカンIPA。そのなかでも、特徴的な風味でIPA、ひいてはクラフトビールの味わいに不可逆的な変化をもたらしたホップのひとつにNelson Sauvinがあります。そんな思いを踏まえて、今回のSIDE BY SIDEは、奈良醸造ならNelson Sauvinを使ったIPAをどう造るのか、改めてこのホップと向き合ってみることから生まれました。グラスに注ぐと、澄んだペールゴールドの液体。鼻を近づけるとCitraとCenttenial、Amarillo、といったアロマホップが、トロピカルでジューシーな柑橘系の果物を想起させます。そこに、Nelson Sauvin由来の白ワインを思わせる高貴な香りがアクセントを添え、奥行きのある豊かな香りとなっています。一口飲めば、骨太の麦芽と心地よい程度にしっかりとした苦味が余韻として残る満足度の高い一杯に仕上がりました。

Additionally, there's that elegant white wine aroma from the Nelson Sauvin hop, adding depth. You'll savor a delightful blend of hearty malts and a pleasantly firm bitterness that lingers as a long finish.
