Bottled. A red brown beer with no head. The aroma has notes of vanilla, roasted malt, alcohol, and bread. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, wood, and bread, leading to a dry finish.

Bottle at home from London bridge odd bins. Mahogony brown colour with a light tan / cream head. Aroma is earthy, touch of brown malt and roast, slight parfummed. Delicate. Flavour has more earthiness, mushroom, honey malt and vanilla. Quite unique beer. I like it.

Cask @ Station. Forgot I'd tried this years earlier in bottle. Pours very dark brown, cream topping. Aroma has soft vanilla, chocolate, wood. Taste is smooth with interesting subtle treacle, wood, cigar, dark chocolate notes. Very good dark mild. 500ml bottle from Borough Wines. Dark, musky chocolate fudge liqueur aroma, pours a black coffee colour with white swirls & a small cluster of bubbles in the centre that slowly pop one by one to form what look like petals. Crazy. Very mild vanilla sweetness to this, with roasted malts and cigar. As much as this isn’t my cup of tea I couldn’t help admire the blend.

500ml bottle darkish brown brown with lasting beige head. Decent choc flavour. Maybe some vanilla I guess. Tasty dark mild. Fine.

[Cask at Reading BF] Dark brown with a moderate beige head. A slight sourness in the aroma. Roasty malt at first in the mouth then creamy vanilla. OK, but didn’t like the hint of sourness.
