0.75 l bottle from 'Bergmann Stehbierhalle', 2021 vintage at 6.7% abv, best before October 2021. Almost clear, deep amber with a thin, frothy, almost stable, off-white head. Sweetish-malty, gently fruity-floral aroma of honey, candied apricot, some orange peel and a touch of sultanas. Quite sweet, malty, moderately bitter, gently fruity-floral taste of honey, orange peel, candied apricot, some sultanas and light vanilla, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly dry finish. Medium body, smooth and gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft to average carbonation. Decent Maibock, quite sweet but balanced by subtle spicy hops.

Tap: Literally deep golden, nearly clear, smaller persistent off-white head, moderate sweetish-malty to honeyish nose, mineralic spots and herbal hops in the background; moderate - as well - sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied and a bit tart; slightly lingering and slightly drier honeyish and herbal-bitter finish. O.K.! Surely better lagered than the 2018 vintage...
