Bottle shared at Monyo. Pours deep copper with off-white head. Nose is caramely malts and resinous hops, low oxidization. Taste is sweet malty notes of caramel and toffee followed by a resinous, grassy hoppy touch. Hoppy finish, light body, average carbo. Too much hops in there.

750ml bottle, and it’s from the 2008 release. Very dark pour, very very dark. When i hold it up to the light i can see through the very nice dark mahaogany. There is a nice beige head, and some good lacing. Aroma is loaded with bready malt, and some nice smokiness, and a good dose of hops. The flavour is very nice, lots of chewy malts, and a good dose of hops, there is some nice hop spiciness, and the finish is quite bitter, it leaves a nice hoppy tatse in my mouth.Wow, i’m loving this!

0.473 l can from 'Beer Republic', canned in December 2022. Almost clear, ruby with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently fruity, minimally vinous aroma of caramel, red fruits, and traces of nuts. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter, slightly fruity taste of caramel, nuts, red fruits and hints of leaves, followed by a short, gently bitter, a little dry finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Tasty beer, quite deep.

Schönes Dunkelbraun im Glas, Sahneschaum. In der Nase Trauben und Karamell. Im Trunk herrlich malzig, röstig, fast wie ein Porter, sehr kern, sehr lecker.

16 oz. can. Pours a clear, ruby color, with a big, foamy, tan head. The aroma is butter toffee, resinous hops, mahogany, juniper, and cane sugar. Sweet and malty, with a brisk, sticky bitterness. Medium body, dusty, and quite clingy. Beautiful, balanced, old-world character. Lovely.

Pours a deeper amber colour with a beige creamy, super long lasting head with very thick lacing. Big raisin and molasses aromas at first, but when it calms a little down, the caramel and fruity malts shine. The taste definitely shows more the hops. The bitterness rides over the fruitiness with some burnt undertones. Not bad at all, if you prefer a hoppier Altbier.
