Full-bodied and dark, with the flavour of a beer brewed with lager yeast and discernible notes of chocolate and coffee in its fragrance. This beer can be laid down in the cellar like a fine wine, in order to see just how the nuances of flavour change over the course of time.

Re-rate based on the checklist. Old score: 7/5/6/4/14=3,6 Smell-weak, some malt, roast, coffee, dark chocolate maybe. Foam- thin to medium malt, roast, some coffee. Head is small, quite dark brown color. Appearance- brewer bottle cap, simple label, bit somewhat nice-ish. No bonus though. Black color, no carbonation. From - snifter Taste - malty, coffee, faint muffled roast, muffled chocolate. Very neutral, coffee-ish, malty. Refreshing actually, and I somewhat like it, even if it is not really my style.

330mL bottle at Valmermuia Alus Tirgotava, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out toasted malt, with light vanilla and earthy roasted malt. Flavour is very rich, with vanilla, light roast and some caramel bready malt. Lovely depth to this. Very good.

Bottle from the Valmiermuiža Shop in Riga. Smooth intense roasted beginning. Rich and creamy with a smooth caramel back. Hints of sourness, dark dried fruit. Much more intense than the 6%, nice deep with lots of burned sugars and a burned bitterness on the tongue. Quite dry with sourish hints, moderate bitter, fantastic deep!
