Bottle from Gulating. Clear, dark amber body under a fine beige head. Aroma has malt, caramel, citric fruit and some pine. Taste is sweet malt, some caramel, citric fruit, slightly piny, bread and pleasant bitterness. Nice balance between sweetness and bitterness, balanced in body and nice malty aftertaste with fine bitter ending. Not so often to see this kind of beers anymore and quite impressive in taste and body considering just 4,7 %ABV. Highly enjoyable as is and sure a fine match with most food.

Bottle. It's an unclear dark amber colored beer with a finger-thick beige head. The aroma has a good malt base, bread and caramel, with some piney and resiny malts. Sort of oat-ish. It's medium to full-bodied, softly carbonated and quite dry on the palate, with a good bitterness. Bread, caramel, some roasted notes and a piney hoppyness in the flavor. Lasting finish, mostly on the malty side, but there's also a light hoppyness. 220723
