Can ordered from the brewery. Thought I'd better get this in whilst it was December still. Aroma combines sweet dark fruit with spice and vestigial booze. Opaque amber tinged brown. Thin translucent off-white head. The flavour mirrors the aroma. Spice and dark fruits, with a bitter boozy edge. Develops a sweeter element into the finish. Medium bodied. Oily. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long somewhat astringent finish. As expected it's a sweet spiced Barley Wine. Decent. But, yeah, spice and a pie genre I am not a fan of. Yet still, a boozy Barley Wine.
