Cask at The Wellington, Birmingham. Dark brown pour with small beige top. This one was slick, easy drinking with roast, chocolate powder, brown bread and a hint of blackcurrant. Decent.

Half-pint, cask ale, shared with Finn at Cherry Red. Deep dark brownish body, stable beige head, rings of lace. Promising dark chocolate malts on the nose. Chocolate malts to the taste buds as well, hints of nuts and earth. Slightly roasted malty finish. Easy to drink. Pretty good. (Birmingham 13.02.2023.)

Cask at Cherry Reds, Bingohame, 16/02/23. Dark mahogany brown with a good sized lasting beige head. Nose is dark malts, dried red berries, cocoa powder. Taste comprises dusty hops, cocoa sprinkle, cherry tobacco, earthy red berries, brown bread. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Solid flavoursome mild.

Cask at Wellington, Brum. Aroma combines chocolate and veg. Clear cola brown with a ruby tint. Thin foamy beige head. Light chocolate with a tangy sour berry edge. Underlying creaminess. Develops coffee. Medium bodied. Oily. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. Velvety mild.

Cask at The Wellington, Birmingham. Poured a clear dark copper colour with a lasting bubbly off-white head. The aroma is light roasted malt, woody hops. The flavour is over moderate bitter and sweet, with a smooth, earthy, mineral, nutty, very light floral, big woody hop bitter palate and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
