4/3/2023. Keykeg at the 46th Loughborough Beer Festival. Pours close to black with a creamy beige head. Aroma of mild coffee, toffee, vanilla, light roasted malt, slight ashy edge. Medium sweetness, moderate roasted bitterness. Medium body, very smooth, soft carbonation. Enjoyable.

500ml bottle bought at Lifecraft, IoW. Shared with Finn and lmojoh. Firm, bubbly, fawn-coloured head leaving clingy lacing on the glass, jet black in the glass. Rounded roasted malts on the nose, hints of chocolate. Dark chocolate taste together with a bite of coffee, lightly spiced. Smoothly roasted finish. Likeable. (Tromsø 21.12.2022).

Spandert av Rune. Delt med ham & lmojoh på Vervet. Lavt skum med litt farge. Lett kaffearoma. Smaken mere kaffe. Litt sjokolade. Tørr, lett bitter avslutning.

500ml Bottle - Dark brown in colour. Coffee, spices and dark chocolate in the aroma. The taste is rather spicy, perhaps a bit too spicy, with the nutmeg standing out and the coffee, chocolate and vanilla notes lurking in the background.

Bottle bought at Boojum & Snark, Sandown - in their branded packaging. Aroma has dusty coffee cacao and sweet spice. Dark and inky. Thin creamy beige head thins out. The flava matches the aroma - bitter coffee and cacao. Spice throughout. Underlying creaminess. Sweetness into the finish alongside dark berries. Light-medium bodied. Light creamy mouthfeel. Flat-average carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. It nice enough but as I drink more the spice and sweetness get cloying.
