Darkon wird nach traditioneller Schwarzbierherstellung ausschließlich mit dunklen Malzen gebraut. Dabei wird ein Teil des Malzes im Trommelröstverfahren hergestellt. Dadurch entstehen milde kräutrige und röstige Noten, die von einer langanhaltenden Bittere begleitet und mit Aromen von Schokolade, dunkler Gerste und Honig abgerundet werden.

Bottle from Rewe, Köln. Dark brown colour, beige foam. Light roasty, notes of dark chocolate and toffee. Some sweet hints. Well balanced.

Bottle, shared with Inbreak and friends. Pours deep dark brown, with a finger thick creamy, mocha head. Aroma is dark roasted malts, with dark chocolate, leather and wood. Medium body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is dark malts, with bread, dark chocolate, leather and a hint of dark liquorice.

Hotel beer in Wandlitz Brandenburg. Clear deep maroon color tan head. Aroma has toffee, dark chocolate. Taste is brown bread and cocoa. Tasty

22oz bottle pours a mostly translucent dark brown with plenty of frothy, tan head. Settled like a Guinness. Nose is nice, gristy, some roast, toffee, over baked but not burnt bread, some cocoa nib. Flavor is sweet with malts, some licorice, toffee, a little raisin, some fresh cocoa nib. Full bodied, sticky, creamy. Drank bitter than 5.4%.

Bottle. Color: Very dark ruby, light brown head. Taste: Mild dark roasted malt, raisins, coffee, some hints of dark chocolate, bread and smoke. Medium sweet with bitter notes mostly towards and at the finish. Medium body and carbonation. Pretty dry mouthfeel. Nice schwarzbier but could have had a bit more body.

Bottle @ Salling ølfestival. Pours very dark brown with a tan head. Aroma of malt, caramel, bread, dark chocolate. Flavor is light sweet, malty, caramel, bread, chocolate, light fruit. Medium body, average carbonation, light sweet finish. 250317
