On tap at the brewpub. The colour is slightly hazy reddish brown colour with a light beige head. Aroma of bread crust, nuts and some sulfur. Flavour of bread crust, nuts, leather, oatmeal biscuits and a short aftertaste with grass. Has a slick mouth feel, light to medium body and a medium bitterness. Some off-flavours and pretty malty. Okay flavour.

Tap the brewery. Red mahogany color, light haze, bubbly yellowish head, thin lacing. Some sulphur upfront. Aroma is malty bready, roasted, a light plum note and caramel, earhy aftertaste, taste mikd sweet light grassy bitter. Average carbonation, some funk in the finish.

Aufgrund eines Regenschauers war ich gezwungen, noch ein Bierchen zu trinken. Es kam das Kimber Ale zum Zug, das eigentlich ein Altbier ist. Und das ist wirklich gut gelungen: bernsteinfarben und malzig im Körper und leicht spritzig und doch süß im Abgang. Aromentechnisch, vor allem karamellig, steht man den Dusseldorfern nicht nach.

Tap at the 1516 Brewing Company, Vienna. Pours mid brown with a amber tint and a lasting off-white head. Aroma of malt, chocolate, yeast, dark fruit and light toasting. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Medium body, slight oily texture, average carbonation. Close to being and Altbier and very Düsseldorf esque. Pretty good.

Tap at 1516. Red amber color with thick b ide head. Aroma of caramel, roasted malt, light red fruits Taste, distinct roasted malt, caramel. This is more stoutish then amber ale, but good beer.

Mahogany brown colour with lasting head. Aroma and flavour have a certain floral, sweet mote. The base is German Alt but with this floral twist.

Draught @ 1516 Brewing Company, Venna, Austria. Pours amber with a tan head. Aroma of malt, light caramel, light wood, dusty notes. Flavor is light sweet, malt, caramel, wood, light nuts, weak berrie note. Thin body, soft to average carbonation, sweet finish. 140816

0,1l from tap at the brewpub. small off white head. brown / reddish clear colour. smells quite peppery, spices, light vegetables, quite dusty, tobacco. not good smell. medium body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes quite peppery, rather dusty, spices, tobacco, light currant notes, cardboard ish. finishes lightly bitter with nuts of cardboard and spices and peppery notes. beer seems to have some issues, rather unpleasant.
