The Chimay Blue is a dark ale with a powerful aroma. Its complex flavor improves with passing time. The 75-centiliter version (since 1982) is called ''Grande Réserve'' because of its great storage potential., It was first brewed as a Christmas beer by the monks of Scourmont Abbey in 1956. But after its great success, it was decided to offer it permanently.

Cloudy deep brown with a perfect ivory-coloured head. Dark malts, rich Belgian yeast, massive esters, dried fruits, hop. Everything in balance. Medium dry. Notably bitter at the end. Not as groundbreaking as it was some 10 years ago still very good.

Thin off white head stayed on a dark brown still body.
Raisins, caramel, toffee & nutty tastes with a fruity berry finish.
Always a Class Act.

I’m the first to check in?! The 2024 Chimay Bleue has arrived! Delhaize has got it. But there’s still a bunch of the 2023 left on the shelf so you gotta snag one from the crates on the floor.
