On tap at Ardbeg Embassy Restaurant. Pours black with a foamy beige head. Lots of dry roasted malts and whiskey smoke on the nose. Flavour has rich roasted malts, some bread crusts, and a fantastic smoke character. This is excellent.

On tap at Ardbeg Embassy, pours a deep dark amber brown with a large beige head. Aroma has plenty of smoky whiskey, bready caramel, and a touch of toffee. Flavour is super smooth and malty, with a wonderful Islay smokiness, rich dry malts, and toasted dry caramel. Beautiful smoke character undergirded by powerful malts. Impressive for a 6% beer. Fantastic.

Draught @ Ardbeg Embassy Pours black with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, smoke, vanilla. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long roasted malt, chocolate, smoked finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft. Would love to try an imperial version of this.

On tap at Ardbeg Embassy. A black beer topped by a small dark beige head. Some lacing. Roasted, lightly burnt aroma, with some dark dried fruit. Charcoal hints. It's medium bodied and softly carbonated, with a gentle bitterness. Quite dry. Roasted malts and a touch of peat smoke in the flavor, with some dried fruit and charcoal. Lasting finish. Perhaps a bit gentle all the way, but sure fine. 250722
