Ho ho ho! ? Merry Christmas! To celebrate the festive season we have teamed up with By The Horns Brewery to bring you a seasonal special - a Panettone inspired Stout!
This festive special brewed in collaboration with By The Horns will get your aching for a sofa by a warm fire. Hints of fluffy sweet pastry, dried candied citrus fruits and brandy along with caramel and chocolate notes. Wrapped up with a sweet and soft mouthfeel and enough alcohol to leave you feeling warm and happy inside.
This stout has been made to exude the flavours and smells of panettone, with real vanilla, raisins, citrus fruits and brandy used in the brewing process. To celebrate the release of the stout we are also working with an artisanal Panettone baker who will be using some of the stout to infuse a small number of limited edition panettone. So find yourself an armchair settle in for this delightful glass of festive cheer!

440ml can bought at Clapton Craft, Kentish Town. Shared with Magne and Leif. Decent fawn-coloured head over a near-black body, spotty lacing. Spiced dried fruity aromas, scent of chocolate malts as well. Blended and rather sweet taste of dark and dried fruits joined by chocolate and liquorice moments with spices to it. Rounded roasted malt-fruity end, semi-sweet. Tasty sipper. (Airbnb flat, London, 09.12.2023).

Bottle from The Hive, Crowthorne. Aroma is fruity and boozy. Although relatively low key. Dark and glossy. A cola tint. Beige head is soon reduced to a few tiny bubbles. Initial big fruity streak, followed by coffee and liquorice. Medium bodied. Slick. Sticky. Flat carbonation. Big long slightly astringent finish.

Jet black with a medium tan head. Aroma of Christmas pudding and Italian sweet wine. Flavour is sweet fruits, vin santo, warm spicy Christmas, lovely.
