"Brew Master Johan Spendrup has landed in a pitch-black brew that is slightly drier and additionally a little harder than roasted superstar Guinness. The finishing touch is a touch of smoked malt that actually lifts the Wisby Stout to a level above its famous role model. After a couple of Guiness are you pretty satisfied after two Wisby Stout wants to have another one. " Thomas Berglund - Swedish Dagbladet

Bottle at ZBF 2016. A rather hoppy and certainly not dry stout. Hops in the nose, watery tongue, yet dark and sweet palate. Unusual, but not really working together.

Bottle at our elite tasting. Clear very dark colour. Very rich aroma and flavour. Lots of caramel, toffee, light smoked malts, lots of roasted, ashy and chocolate. Rather dry. Very good.

Bottle. Pours cloudy very dark brown with airy tan head. Clear aroma of roasted malt, with nites of coffee and touches of yeast. Bitter, roasty flavour with notes of coffee and touches of malt and hops. Rough, roasty and estery aftertaste with notes of almonds. Quite reasonable but rather tame.

33cl bottle at some café at in the ferry terminal at Värtahamnen, Stockholm. Pours dark mahogany, close to black, with a beige head. Roasty aroma with dark chocolate, some coffee, caramel and just a hint of wood and smoke. Medium to moderate sweet with fairly mild, but pleasant roasty flavours and a balanced bitterness. Tasty and easy to drink.
