"Double Gordie Mortis" is the Double version of our "Gordie Mortis" IPA brewed with oats and barley and hopped with a blend of our hand-selected Citra, Mosaic and Simcoe in collaboration with our friends at Great Lakes Brewery!

We couldn't believe two years had passed since we first did this IPA collab with GLB so we made it happen again but this time with a bigger Double IPA version!

The original inspiration for these collaborations comes from when Bebo brewed at GLB in 2017 back when he was still homebrewing. Now 6 years later, it was an honour to get together again and recreate that original vision!

Can at Pink Flamingo tasting. Hazy yellow golden. Pineapple, oats, soft alcohol, papaya, wheat. Medium sweet and bitter. Over medium bodied, light boozy.

Cloudy blond colour. Aroma of orange, marmalade, touch of weed. Dry mouthfeel, there's some cream from the oats, some starch too; orange peel, higher bitterness that the average Hazy, a bit abrasive in the finish.
The style requires more sweetness to really shine.

16oz (thx, Chris S.!) shared with Alex @ home. Appearance: hazy pale golden with a white head. Aroma: tropical fruits, citrusy. Taste: along the same lines, some grassy and flowery notes. Moderately juicy. Finishes with noticeable bitterness. Overall: pretty good, but a bit too bitter for me.
