An American style imperial IPA brewed with Citra, Simcoe, Columbus, Cascade and Mosaic hops. Hardcore Chimera is then dry hopped with over a pound of hops per BBL. Ringing in with over 80 IBU’s, Hardcore Chimera’s intense aroma and flavor of passion fruit and citrus is balanced out against a hearty grain bill that lends to the beer’s deceptively drinkable 9% ABV.

16oz can-trade with Chris/reorulezzz8 thanks!-pours a pillowy offwhite head that quickly dissipates to a thin ring-amber. A-lemon/pineapple-tropical, some lt/med malt. T-orange/overripe tangerine/citrus zest hops with some bite, 2nd lt malt.

From tap. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is pine and light grapefruity. Crisp hoppy and peachy. Crisp hoppy. Bitter and dry hoppy into the finish.

Can. Pours a clear gold with a slight orange hue and a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has bitter citrus with a touch sweetness and a sweet grain backbone. Flavor has more of an earthy/bitter citrus note with a bit of grass and some grains underlying.

On draft at spacebar it is a cloudy light golden color with a thin head. The aroma is citrus the taste is citrus and the after taste is black licorice.

Purchased at Bottles and Cans in Chicago, IL; enjoyed at home on a Friday on a gorgeous late October evening...one of the last nice nights for quite a while. This is a real good one. Appearance is a vibrant gold with a moderate frothy off white head that nicely laces to the glass. Aroma is a fantastic mixture of piney / citrus hops with a prevalent caramel malt backing, smells great. Taste packs a punch with gravity and bitterness, not quite enamel-robbing but hoppy nonetheless. Overall I’m happy with this one and would recommend.

Sampled on draft at Dad’s Pub N Grub this beer poured a bright orange-amber color with a medium sized creamy orange-beige head that lingered and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was tangy and a bit sour with a fruity hop presence. The flavor was very tangy with sour malts, lots of pine, a bit of lemon and an astringent presence. Long finish. Moderately full bodied. Ok.

Initial impression was great, after that a bit metallic. Nice looking beer, citrus / pine aroma. Taste is yellow grapefruit . Very short metallic finish.

A rare beer on tap at the bocktown, Monacatootha. If you are an IPA fan and are in the area, stop by for this mouth coating hoppy bitter terribly on style double ipa roto rolling roto tiller.... Yes, big and rude bocktown kick your face thing here. Get off the hops will yah? WTF, and it has the smell of B/O, what else can be said of contemporary hops, eh? There you have it.........Not impressed except perhaps for its smoothness and freshness.
