An American style imperial IPA brewed with Citra, Simcoe, Columbus, Cascade and Mosaic hops. Hardcore Chimera is then dry hopped with over a pound of hops per BBL. Ringing in with over 80 IBU’s, Hardcore Chimera’s intense aroma and flavor of passion fruit and citrus is balanced out against a hearty grain bill that lends to the beer’s deceptively drinkable 9% ABV.

Bottom of the can reads: \"00701.\" Don’t know what that means, but hey, alright, here’s the rest.
This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a hazy bronzed golden brown color with a slim finger’s worth of white foamy rocky head. It delicately dissipates nicely. A slim layer of messy lacing roams about the glass.
The smell starts off with a thick rich caramel maltiness over a light bitter citrus hop.
The taste was sweet over the caramel malts. The bitter citrus was slightly there, but really light. There’s no aftertaste nor finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a decent sessionability about it. Carbonation seemed okay for the style and for me.
Overall, its a decent DIPA, nothing over the top, probably would have again depending what else was served. It definitely ranges on the maltier side of a DIPA.

Draught @ Barleycorn. Slightly hazy orange color with medium sized foamy white head that endured quite long, floral hops aroma, low carbonation, strong hoppy taste quickly dissolving into a sweetish finish, bitter hops aftertaste. Quite a nice DIPA.

Pours deep gold into a tulip. White head with little retention recedes to hug rim. Caramel and tropical fruit aromas. Sweet caramel and dough upfront turning to resin and tropical fruit in the lasting finish.

16 oz. can pour shows a hazy gold color with thin head in a snifter. Wow, huge fruity nose of tropical and citrus/ grapefruit, peach and light pine under it. Flavor has a huge grapefruit base with a good amount of malty base that never become too sweet. The hops are NOT over run by the malt. The finish if mild floral and moderate pine resin. The flavor is enjoyable and it drinks like a lower gravity brew, being 9 percent could be dangerous.

Pours a cloudy golden-copper, with thick, lasting head. Aroma is dank, with loads of hops, tropical fruits, cat pee. Flavor is nicely-balanced between the hops and the malt. Lots of hoppy fruitiness, but not too bitter, and the alcohol content is well-hidden. Very nice double IPA.
