330ml bottle. Hazy, orangey, deep golden colour with average, frothy, fluffy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Quite ephemeral, sweet-ish, fruity aroma with hints of pomegranate and a touch of raspberry gives way to spicy, yeasty notes, gherkin, brine, dill, mustard seed, Silesian pickles, notably "Schlesische Gurkenhappen", old lemon peel. Taste is moderately tart, dry, spicy, herbal, wine sauerkraut with laurel overdose, lemon juice, old lemon peel (auguries of greenish-white mould), pomegranate embeddings. Nice & dirty.

On keg at the Stockbridge Tap as part of the Celtic Experience Tap Takeover. Appearance - golden with ferocious bubbles that sustain the head. Nose - berry fruit, a hint of the saison yeast (white pepper and maybe pineapple). Taste - too much carbonation for a saison in my opinion. Can’t get those subtle saison spice notes, just the tropical fruit. Palate - medium bodied with a sweet texture and the finish is kinda dry but that’s probably just the bubbles. Overall - I want to try this on cask. I feel the carbonation takes away from the saison yeast.

Euston Tap. Keg. Hazy gold - amber beer, small white head. Palate is airy and minerally crisp. Very light malts. There is a generic fruit sourness leading to quite a savoury note. Mild citric acid before a crisp dry finish. In a blind tasting I might have pitched this as a Gose.

Cask-conditioned at the Beer Emporium, Bristol 5/9/2014. Slightly hazy amber, with a decent, off-white, head. Dusty hops, some tart fruit and crisp mlats, with a gentle finish. Good.

Keg @ Birmingham Beer Bash. Pours hazy amber with white head. Big tropical fruit nose, concentrated grape juice and rich pomegranate in the taste, a touch sour. Can’t say I’ve been into pomegranates so this was never going to be beer of the festival for me.

Cask at the Birmingham Beer Bash 2014. Poured a hazy medium amber with a round bubbly white head. The aroma is mineral veggie and of course some pomegranate. The flavour is veggie. light mineral bitter with a big tart pomegranate palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. It’s all pomegranate. Can’t say much else!

Cask at Birmingham Beer Bash; hazy burnished amber pour with a thin white head, vinegar aroma, taste has light fruit, a lot of acidity going on with this, not a lot of saison character coming through.
