What better way to toast the fall than to have a bottle of this formidable, dual character brew. At first smooth with mellow overtones of sweet berry fruit, a bite of bitterness suddenly cuts through, long, deep and lingering. Brewed with Rye Malt, it is naturally "blood red" in colour. Unlike the mythical wolf-like creature said to roam the bleak moorland surrounding Newcastle, this is real, so consider yourself warned!

0.33l bottle. This is a clear one, light brown looking in the glass and it has a medium sized kinda beige-ish top. On the nose I get lots of old coffee grout and cardboard. Some traces of something softly roasted and there are also a ooze of sun damaged chocolate. Both dry and semi sweet in the taste. A good amount of something near roasted with dark malts and hints of more sun damaged chocolate. Kinda flourish also. Light oily in the mouth and it has a just above average carbonation level. Definitely drinkable, but not to exciting really. 16.11.2013

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear, nutty brown with a smallish off-white head. Nutty, "tired" aroma. Light body, tons of crystal malt making a caramellish impression, again quite nutty with a distinct cardboard note. Ends dryish with no distinct hop impression. Verry so-so. 260314

Flaske 0,33l fra ICA Stakkevollan. Drukket hjemme 5 Okt 13.
