Central Java rail excursion: a small can from the supermarket in the basement of Ramai Mall, Jl. Malioboro, Yogyakarta and drunk at home here in Taipei. Aroma: vaguely reminiscent of freshly cut grass. Appearance: clear light bronze with 2-3mm. off-white scum. Palate: light-bodied and rather slick, average carbonation; not much going on at the finish. Taste: lightly sweet with a bitter note, a surprise hit of plums or parma violets. Not bad, flavour outclasses palate.

Can. Pale gold, white head. Faint grainy aroma, hints of detergent. Watery and bland but clean with the typical low but harsh bitterness of its type. Low score mainly about absence of flavour.

Dorada muy limpia, con un dedo de espuma blanca de retención media. Aroma cereal. Cereal también en boca con cierto tono dulzón. Punzante de gas. Cansina.

Bottle 0,33ltr: Golden clear colored brew with an sweetly taste and thats Beck’s grassy smell. But combined its not that good, prefer Bintang more in this case of Indonesian Lagers.

Bottle 65 cl. Golden, clear, white foam. Aroma: light hops, malty, slightly spicy. Slightly sour taste, malt, a bit herbaceous hops, mild bitterness.

330ml can from Pepito Express, Kuta Beach. Poured a crystal clear golden colour with a short-lived, fizzy white head. The aroma is malt and lager yeast. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a crisp, corn, dry cardboard yeast, woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Klar lys brun med ok skumtopp. Lukter lett av malt og ikke så mye mer. En enkel lager med smak av malt og en anelse sitrus.
