330 ml can. Pale golden body with a thin and fast disappearing white head. Weak aroma of grain with a hint of cooked vegetables. Flavor is close to nothing, but a bit sweet at least. No bitterness. Thin body short on aftertaste. Drinkable if fresh and cold and the whether is hot, otherwise not worth a Rupiah.

Bottle that was very kindly passed onto me by Hughie at Merton Winter Beer Festival 05.02.11 cheers Hughie. I consumed this 09.02.11 Clear gold colour, with a slim white bubbly head. Soft in the mouth with a business from the carbonation. Touch creamy but plenty of cereal, also very sweet. Not the worst lager beer that I’ve had, but then again not the best wither. Cheers Hughie. Bottle from Halt Time. Pours gold with a fizzy, temporary white head. Smells a bit bready with very mild hop. Medium body with foamy carbonation. Flavor is really bready. Hop is present. Bitter is detectable. Finishes ok with a paper hint.

Bottle. Sweet corn/barley malt aroma. Clear golden yellow color with small head. Very sweet stale grain malt flavor. Palatable but barely so.

Found in Langkawi, lah. Dull pale straw with large bubbles. Mild, grainy aroma. Sulphury, watery character. Pretty horrid brew. I had been warned not to drink this, and I might have done well to heed that advice.

I had both the Bali Hai premium lager (62cl bottle) and the Draft beer (33cl can), but I don’t see why they’re listed as the same beer, tastes were very different. Premium Lager: Light golden colour, white head. Aroma is sweet, cereal, light hops. Flavour is very light, some CO2 bitterness, grain, cereals, light grassy. Dry finish. Thin bodied. 52418 Draft Beer: Clear pale golden colour, white head. Aroma is sweet, syrupy, hint of cinnamon, cereals. Flavour is sweet, cereal, bit of grain, all with some weird sweet veggie taste. Light bodied. 42327

Bottled (thanks omhper!). Pale yellowish golden colour with some particles floating around. Small white head. Aroma is cooked vegetables, some grains, rubber and mildly maizeish. Flavour is some very strange sweetness, very much like vegetably sugars or something (not maize or ricelike), some mild bitterness as well as herbal notes. A rather strange brew, which at first meeting will set you totally off, but then again is actually quite drinkable in all it’s strangeness. --- Beer aliased from original tick of Bali Hai on 12 Jul 2009 at 14:49 - Score: Appearance - 4 | Aroma - 4 | Flavor - 5 | Texture - 4 | Overall - 4. Courtesy of Tony @ OTH. Pours like a soapy clear golden. white head. Aroma is malty with possibly some puffed riice. Taste, typical lager, really noted lost of malts, possible rice, leaving the metallic lager aftertaste. Refreshing, nothing special.
