Reviewed from notes.
Can to snifter.
Appearance: dark brown close to black color with a quickly dissipating khaki foamy head. Little bits of concave lace slide with the sips.
Aroma: sweet wheat, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, light sweet coffee, malt balls, caramel/toffee whiffs, light dose of dark fruits and a touch of vanilla
Flavor: wraps up the prior noted aromas fairly sweet with a touch of roastiness underneath; no aftertaste
Texture: medium bodied, leaning towards the sipping side; nice smoothness along the tongue; finishes semi-wheaty with the dark and milk chocolates
Overall: not bad, I believe I could come back to this.

473ml can. Jet black colour with small, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, brown head. Roasty and chocolately, dark malty, slightly caramel malty aroma, hints of dark caramel, toffee, a touch of coffee. Taste is sweet-ish, caramel malty, slightly chocolately, dark malty, notes of toffee, caramel, some chocolate; minimally warming, alcoholic finish. Dissolved sugar enriched, watery texture, smooth and soft palate, medium to fine, dense, mildly prickly carbonation. Sweet, homogeneous, a tad too simple and monotonous for the style - fairly tasty, but not so special that it is worth to expose your liver to that amount of alcohol.

Pours viscously to black beer with a good tan head. Vanilla, marshmallow, very sweet nose, whiff of nutmeg and praliné ganache. Some booze. Sweet, liquorice³ and vanilla. Almost no roast. Alcohol enhancing the sweetness. Sweet grains' bread. Very oily-slick, full bodied, good carbonation, alcoholheat. No, sorry! In Flemish: kalisjensap met een scheut vanillelikeur .

On tap at DownTime taps, pours motor oil jet black with a tiny tan head. Aroma is dominated by burnt sugars, molasses, and burnt roasted malt. Flavour is a bit rough and harsh, with loads of burnt sugars, molasses, roasted malt, and caramel. The sweetness is fairly low, having seemingly been fermented out and burnt. Finishes fairly boozy and burnt. But still, it somehow works to an extent. Far from a refined impie but nicely done nonetheless.

Can pour shared by Steve. It's an inky black with ring of off-white head. Aroma is nice roasted malt, hints of dark fruit, coconut, nut. Taste is strong roasted malt, dark fruit, vague nut. Mouthfeel is full bodied with thick texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Alcohol is well hidden. Nice for non-adjunct stout.
