(Draft at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 16 Aug 2025) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with coffe, dark chocolate, oak wood, whisky and dark bread. Malty, roasted taste with notes of black coffee, dark chocolate, dark bread, oak wood, Islay whisky and a generous coffee bitterness. Full body, with a touch of sweetness. Rich and tasty, with a generous whisky barrel character. Very nice.

Tap at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 16th July 2025. Pours black. Aroma is peaty, chocolate. Taste is roasted malts, peat heavy and liquor, chocolate and barrel. Good, mouthfeel could be thicker though

Fles gedeeld met LiekevdV, Inoven, Keukeman en Roelzie. Het is een diep donkerbruin bier. Hey heeft een aroma van turf en rook. De smaak is vol rokerig, turf en houtig.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is roasted malt with whisky, peat, dark chocolate, espresso, smoke, alcohol. Bittersweet flavour with a boozy warming finish. Medium to full body. Potent flavour and aroma, body could be just be a bit thicker.

Bottle from Beerdome. Black with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, coffee and peated whisky. Flavor is very sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish. Oily and soft. 160125

Panda at home, thanks to Kenneth, 26/09/24. Light black verging on extremely dark mahogany brown topped with a beige cap that thins to a swirl. Nose is smoked malts, spice, dark fruit rinds, cake mix, burnt toffee. Taste comprises chocolate shavings, light bonfire, medicinal twang, spice, booze, charr, ashen nip, toffee, dark fruit rinds, roasted bite, peated notes. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a smoky close and balanced kiss of alcohol. Solid BA peated affair.

Op tap bij Borefts '24. Zwarte kleur, beige kraag. Zoethout, turf, gebrand, licht alcoholisch, vind de body vrij dun maar is niet storend hier, veel invloed van het Kilchoman-vat en dat is 1 van m'n favoriete whisky's, heerlijk. Met meer body was dit een ultieme topper geweest.

Borefts 2024. A black beer, no head. Aroma of mild peated dark malt, strong dark malt, booze. Taste of peated dark malt, whiskey, wood, tobacco.

Torfiger, süßlich malziger Beginn. Weich schokoladig malzig, alkoholisch, dennoch sehr angenehm. Würzig, langer cremiger Abgang, gut. 10/11/11/11//11
