The Cappucino of beers. Roasty, smooth and sweet.
Samuel Adams® Cream Stout is a true cream stout, balancing body and sweetness with the natural spiciness of grain and hand selected English hops. Our Brewers use generous portions of roasted chocolate and caramel malts as well as unroasted barley to impart a fullness of body, a roasty malt character and rich, creamy head. Its dark mahogany color make it almost as easy on the eyes as it is on the palate.

I almost didn’t buy this because of my previous bad experiences with stouts. Friendly roasty wood aroma. Very good flavor. Interestingly bitter, but not quite as bitter as many of the other real stouts I’ve had. Since I don’t really like stouts per se, I am surprised I find this enjoyable. To say it is creamy? Only because it is by Sam Adams. It could be more creamy, however, very nice. Roasty feel on the taste buds. I think this is the best stout I’ve had for awhile. No burned bitter real offensive finish like other stouts.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Pours black with a tint of red and a neat, dense and cappuchinoish, beige head. Aroma of hard roasted malt and chocolate. Medium-bodied with a very soft and smooth mouthfeel - almost velvety - with accents of hard roasted malt, but all the time pleasant and never ashy. Very subdued bitterness. 200706

Bottled. Almost black, with a beige head. Roasted aroma with coffee and mocca. Coffee and roasted malt in the flavor, along with some hops. Medium body and a burnt and bitter finish. There is also a medical note in the finish. (060616)

Bottle from Swedish "Systembolaget".Dark brown color, brownish head. Very burnt scent and flavor, takes over the rest. Not well balanced at all. Dissapointed since Samuel Adams generally make great beers.

Deep transparent ebony with a small dark-tan head. Aroma was caramel-malt with a smoky chocolate note. A malty-mocha and chocolate taste with a tiny hint of molasses, and a bit of bitterness in the aftertaste from the hops.

Bottle. 4.7%. Roasted coffee aroma with a little acidity. Almost totally black colour. Nice, creamy brown head. Good creamy mouthfeel. The flavour is like mild chocolate and the aftertaste too.
