There are many things Scotland has given to the world but perhaps the most iconic is Iron Brew.

The bold colour and unique flavour evoke a sense of national pride that’s otherwise only found when talking about our tap water. It’s timeless, like a pint at the airport.

So, here’s our take on the nation’s favourite soft drink, packed with pride and irony goodness in every sip.

Can from Great Grog. Orange body with a slight haze and a wire head. Lively carbonation. Patchy lacing. Aroma of actual IRN-BRU, cream soda and ginger. Flavour of lime, lemongrass and ginger. Thin to medium body with a slick texture. Light fizz. A fun beer that is very much akin to the famous soft drink. Are Vault City Scotland’s best brewery? They’re certainly producing (and nailing) incredibly unique beers.

Hazy, lively amber beer with a thick white head and a smell that's genuinely somewhere between a stock sour and Irn Bru. Flavour follows suit, sugary-sweet but not sickly, tart with some sharp citrus (perhaps giving it a bit too much natural flavour compared to actual Irn Bru!) and probably girders. Crisp and very drinkable.
