Clear dark brown beer. No head and very low carbonation. Semi dry palate. Sweet malt and sweet coca cola. Stays sweet through the mid where sweet malt comes through. Sweet dark fruit at the end and a little herbal bitterness. Slightly odd beer. Some carbonation would have been good.

Bottle @ Odense Smagning, May 2012. Pours ruby red with a off white head. Brown sugar, caramel, dark fruit and boozy alcohol. Unrefined and poor attempt on an ABT.

bottle from kihoskh. clear red-brown , small light brown head. spicy malty and slightly caramelly aroma. quite dry, quite spicy. hot from alc. belgian yeast, dry, bitter malt, burnt toffee. Flavor is dried fruits, red fruits, raisins, red grapes, malts, dry malts, end is very slightly roasted but quite fruity sweet, in fact i could use some more dryness towards the end. However the sweet end works fine with the general flavor profile. A sweet and fruity quad. notes of candy. In fact i find it too fruity and candy like - perhaps this changes with age, i don’t know.

Big Top Beer Distro, PA: Pours a darkish brown color with a beige head. Aroma is of sugar, licorice, dried fruits, cake, and perhaps a whiff of booze. I thought that this was a very well-balanced quad. Alcohol was well-covered and it went down pretty easily, while at the same time maintained a high degree of complexity. It begins with the fruity and licorice notes at the front and then seamlessly descends with the caramel and cake flavors through and finish and keeps it going in the aftertaste. A lot of stuff going on in this beer and a lot of stuff put together well.
