0,05l from tap at MBCC yellow session shared with / by the crew. bourdeaux like hazy color, rather big almost white head. smells nutty, bit leathery, ripe fruits, marzipan. decent smell. medium to full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes medical, light vinegar, grass, marizpan, cinnamon, herbal, citric. finishes lightly sour with notes of grass, cinnamon and some citrus. ok but rather messy, not such a big fan. 6, 4, 6, 3, 13

On tap at Ma Che Siete Venuti A Fa, Rome. Pours hazy dark amber to brown with small beige head. Caramel, earthy, nuts, wood, some fruit, acidic, vinous. Medium bodied. Took me few sips to get used to it, but after that I liked it.

On tap at McKay's Taphouse, pours a hazy dark reddish amber with a small beige head. Aroma is very earthy, with lots of rye - not much else. Flavour is along the same lines, with a hugely earthy rye quality, some citric tartness in there too. Dry and earthy finish. Solid.

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass; no bottle dating, but is a recent release. Pours a very clear reddish brown color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big lightly tart cherry, berry, apricot, green apple, lemon, lime, peppercorn, hay, straw, leather, wood, caramel, toasted brown bread, light chocolate/nuttiness, herbal, light musty funk, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, wood, and moderate dark/roast/bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big lightly tart cherry, berry, apricot, green apple, lemon, lime, peppercorn, hay, straw, leather, wood, caramel, toasted brown bread, light chocolate/nuttiness, herbal, light musty funk, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Light fruity/acidic tartness and herbal/wood/peppery spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of cherry, berry, apricot, green apple, lemon, lime, peppercorn, hay, straw, leather, wood, caramel, toasted brown bread, light chocolate/nuttiness, herbal, and yeast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, wood, and moderate dark/roast/bready malt flavors; with a great malt/tart/spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light dryness from acidity/spiciness as well. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and lightly grainy/chalky and acidic/sticky balance mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice and unique dark Wild ale style. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, wood, and moderate dark/roast/bready malt flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink with the light acidity. A very enjoyable offering.

Bottle at the March DC Tasting. Poured a dark brown color with a small tan head. Aroma was light roasted malts, light funky notes. Flavor was malty, with a light funk, nothing too crazy.
