Tangy something with some citrus and not much else. Not a lot of character here. Light tangy finish and some water. Bottle.

Owl Farm, Brooklyn tap: pours brown with light beige head. Aroma is tree, funk, and some dirt. Taste is somewhat sour. Body is kind of too attenuated and that negatively impacts the taste. Definitely sour interesting complexity, but I feel this could have been perfected.

Bomber shared by KBL. Nose is vinegar, chocolate, caramel, cherries, and dust. Dark brown, cloudy, with lace. Nice tartness, only slightly acetic, dry, lactic acid, yogurt, wood, hay. Crisp and tasty.

O trabalho Stillwater 5.5% Bomber, an Amazon inspired wild ale. Pouring a dark ruby brown with a tart funky musty wilderness edge. The taste is tart and lactic yoghurt lightly acidic with some woodsy tartness. Acidic but oaky and nice though I think you need to pair it with something to get the most out of it.

Currant and raisin nose, Clear brown, medium yellow head with little retention. Tart currant to pecan. A little ashy and vegetal at times, but not badly so. Light body, soft, watery.

On tap at Rustico Ballston pours a hazy root beer brown with zero head. Nose is odd, more wood and malt than sour, caramel, stale grain, some raisin, a little cheap chocolate. Flavor has more cheap chocolate and cheap malt, some sour cherry notes too, hints of vanilla. Oily finish. Not my thing.

Starting 2016 with an Amazonian sour, oh yeah. Hazy dark ambercolor, thin off white head. Aroma of nutty sourdough brownies. Taste is softly sour lightly vinous dark fruit, soft tannins. Delicious.
