One of our favourite hop varietals that resonates with us and never disappoints is Hallertau Blanc. With a white wine character, and confusingly fruity AND floral notes, it offers a complex nose and flavour that is typically achieved through hop combinations. While grown in the Hallertau region, it is a far cry from its noble namesake.

750mL bottle, pours a clear amber with almost no head. Nose is quite buggy, with lots of white wine tanginess, lots of wild bugs, and general tartness. Flavour is gently tart and heavily buggy, with quite a complex wild yeast profile—there's gentle funk, light tartness, and lots of mixed wild yeast. The Hallertau add a nice white wine tanginess / citrus character to this. Very good.
