Bottle. Pours a very dark purple with some bubbles that cling to the edges. Aroma has dark slightly tart berry with a dry honey note supporting. Flavor has rich deep berries that have a light tartness and sweet honey supporting.

Flaska från Kihoskh webshop. Tjusigt mörk rödlila i färgen. Frisk bärig syra med massor av björnbär, röda och svarta vinbär, drottningssylt, blåbär, hallon. Fin bärighet med mycket bärskal, sträv och stram av tanniner. Fantastiskt gott. Välbalanserad med nötig sötma som möts av fin syrlighet.

Batch 3 draft at 8 Degrees Plato. Pours a thickish, deep ruby to purple with a tiny bit of off-white foam that dissipates quickly. Wild berry nose with dried honey, blackberry, blueberry, muscat and nice acidic notes...maybe some faint balsamic as it warms up. Deep wildberry flavors with good berry acidity and sweet floral honey. Vanilla and oak comes out as it warms as well. Lovely tannic berry notes pair with honey blossom and faint warming alcohol. Thick and viscous compared to other meads I've had. My first Schramm's and it did not disappoint.

375 ml bottle, batch 2, 2018. Dark copper body, with no head. Aroma of dense, juicy dark berries, dark honey, some nuts. Tastes quite similar, with more sweet, red berries. Medium, oily mouthfeel, with a low carbonation. Finishes dense, sweet, with dark honey and red berries. Tasty! Especially the nose is amazing, so dense and fruity. Not very complex maybe, but with a great balance between the honey and the berries. Beautiful stuff. Score: 9 / 4 / 8 / 4 / 16
