Aroma is tart floral notes of heather, earthy minerals and dark berries, as well as light farmhouse, vanilla and minerals. Creamy body, with no carbonation. Flavour is tart fruity notes of forest berries, musty fruit peel, floral notes, heather and earthy minerals. Dry finish.

Small slightly bubbly shortlasting head, deep dark reddish color. Aroma is strange sour-ish fruity, berry skin, oak, dry dark berries, grass, minerals, alcohol, hay, soil. Taste is slightly dry sour-ish fruity, berry skin, oak, dry dark berries, bark, booze, soil, fruit stones, burnt rubber. Medium bitterness, dry sour-ish boozy mouthfeel. Not my cup of coffee.

Sample at Lizardville Westerville for "A Night With Schramm's Mead" on 05/25/2018. Dark ruby-purple color with a minimal head and sticky legs on the glass. The aroma is berry jam, honey and a touch of spice. Full-bodied with flavors of marionberry, floral honey and spices. The finish is fruity with a lingering marionberry aftertaste. Good Mead all around.

A reddish burgundy mead with aroma of sweet dark fruits, light cork, light buttery notes, pleasant. In mouth, a nice dark fruits with light chocolate notes, light tobacco, alcohol warmth, grapeskin harshness, pleasant. Bottle at meadery.

Sweetest tasting 2.0. Bottle. Dark ruby red and no head. Grapes, red wine, cherries, massive tannins, honey. Moderate sweet and quite bitter with a touch of sour. Medium body and no carbonation.
