This BROWN IPA is a collaboration between Bear Island & Brown Beard showcasing a rare style sure to quench your thirst. Using high aromatic hops like Mosaic, Eukanot, Pacific Jade, and Azacca lends the beer to having specific aromas of tropical fruit, leather, and toasted nuts. Let the flavors of citrus, pine and biscuits pave the way to a satisfied palate and of course foam on your beard. Cheers to teamwork!

**PS- Fun fact: Brewed in April for Idaho Craft Beer month and released in May during American Craft Beer Week! Both Bear Island & Brown Beard are proud Veteran Owned Breweries!!!

On tap at Brown Beard brewery pours out dark brown almost black topped with a small tan head. Nose is nice roast malts some pine citrus hops. Taste is more of the nice roast malts rich roast pine citrus hops. Wow probably the best beer I have ever had from bear island. Well done

On tap at Bear Island taproom. Dark brown pour. Bitter piney hop aroma along with some toasted malts. Quite bitter flavors, like a bit of a light CDA. Good blend of the brown malts and the IPA bite.

Draft at Handlebar. Dark brown pour, thin beige head yields rings of lacing. Toasty malty aroma, nutty, woody. Taste is malty with mild sweetness and a small hop bite. They call it a brown IPA, so not sure if this would qualify as a CDA.
