Bottle: Poured a clear light amber color ale with a medium foamy head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma of dry caramel malt with light unrefined grain notes. Taste consists of dry caramel malt with unrefined grainy notes which are not really pleasant. Body is about average with good carbonation. No interesting ester or light dry hops presence or even some interesting malt profile to distinguish this beer; no brewing flaws either but not something I would wish to revisit again.

Good taste of hops, i like this but then I’m a fan of bitters in general. Perhaps it’s not the most depth for the category. bottle

bottle from bierzwerg. When I was in Caerphilly two years ago I found no sign of this brewery, so I’m glad Bierzwerg stocks it. Golden-brown colour, mid-sized off-white head. Malty base, lots of caramel and cocoa powder. Slightly fruity with a hoppy finish.

Bottle. It pours a clear dark golden body and an off-white head of moderate size. Biscuity, toffee-ish aroma with some piney fruityness. Medium body, dry and pleasantly carbonated. Some bitterness in the flavor, bringing balance to the biscuity, malty lighlty caramel base. Bitter and fruity finish. A quite decent one, blending the malts and hops in a quite pleasant way, but it’s not a very exciting beer. 110820
