500ml can from M&S Waverley station. Pours clear pale gold, thin white head. Malty aromas, light lemon. Taste is light sweet, light lemon bitter. Slightly astringent finish. Not bad.

0;5l can, BB 04.2015. Pours clear golden with white head. The head stays. Aroma is very sweet, some grains, malt. Flavor is sweet, malt, grains. Finish is mild hoppy bitter and slightly metallic with some alcohol. Overall: it’s not awful.

50cl can from M&S Camberley. A fairly standard lager - better than some with a reasonable weight and a malty body, and a clean citrus finish.

500ml can BBD end of Jan 2015, shared with my father on 25th May 2014 during an afternoon of lager/pilsner comparing. This faired a lot better than some of them! Light golden and showing all the usual lager/pilsner attributes in looks, the white head even gave off some lacing which surprised us both. Spritzy and crisp in nature with no real aroma or taste. Neither sweet nor bitter it was a ’middle of the road’ lager based beer that didn’t offend or excite the taste buds or any other of the senses.

Bottled (thanks SADESAs and CueSheets father!). Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is mild herbs, not very interesting and also has some light starch like sweetness to it. Flavour is quite similar. Bland and watery.

Can on the train home from the 23rd Battersea Beer Festival - 06/02/13. Poured some into my sandwich box to check the colouration ! Light golden/blonde with a thin white head. Nose is pale malt, light citrus, caramel. Taste comprises pale malt, grain, light citrus. Medium body with light spritzy carbonation. Very basic fayre. I accidently kicked the can over and wasted half of it. This was meant to be !!!

Drunk from a 500ml can at Luton airport, so a stock 3 for appearance. Aroma is corn, but with a big dose of lemon. Taste is quite corny, hints of lemon, a bit metallic.

Can from M & S. Pale yellow coloured, large white head. Nose is slightly grainy, bit of hoppiness. Flavour is light grainy, bit grassy, maybe a bit of cardboard. Very dry finish.

Can drunk at home. It’s a typical clear gold pilsner colour with lasting white head. Just a little staleish paper in the flavour, but otherwise it’s drinkable enough stuff without being too interesting. Some floating lemon flavour somewhere. A light pale lager.
