Can ... final Jaun ? split in the fart dungeon @331, post PTY, 05/02/16. Lightly hazed orange golden with a decent off white covering. Nose is big coffee grinds, airy malt, toffee, spice, light fruit elements. Taste comprises bitter coffee, fruit rinds, light spice, caramel, toasted brown sugar. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent #, drinks below the ABV, good coffee bite.

Sample at Nöjesguidens Ölmässa. Deep golden color with slightly off white head. Coffee aroma with hints of sweet malt, caramel and citrus. Coffee flavor with citrus, caramel and some dry paprika. A little bit odd but quite enjoyable. Wouldn’t call it a Doppelbock though. Dry finish.

Can - Lots of rich coffee, some earthy notes and a touch of legume. Dark copper cold with a decent beige head. Decent coffee notes and a bit of light malts with a rich palate. A little odd and no bitterness or roast.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Cloudy light amber color, compact head. It smells like an old coffee pot. Sweet and lean mouthfeel, with food body strength; it has some malt flavor and delicate coffee, moderate bitterness, and alcohol warmth.
The aroma was shocking (I didn’t know it was a coffee beer), the flavor is not bad actually.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a hazy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma smells like a cold cup of coffee - not much else. Flavour is very sweet and coffee-dominated, with notes of a cold cup of coffee and lots of residual sweetness. Very low complexity, but it's pleasant enough. Okay.

Pour is a hazy amber with a small white head. Aroma has some coffee but it has a more of a roasted peanut than anything else. Flavor is again a strong fresh shelled peanut more than anything else. Not real heavy on the coffee and I don’t get any dopplebock aspects from this. With all that said, if you like fresh roasted peanuts then check this beer out because that’s all I am getting from this.

Can: Smoky coffee and dried beans nose. Cloudy copper, fine floaties, medium head, good lacing. Sweet corn syrup, navy beans, coffee. Medium body, easy carbonation. I’m not a fan of bocks or Hawaiian coffee, so this is a bit of a mess for me.

Draft. Hazy amber color, medium white head. Aroma of coffee grounds. Taste has burnt toast, coffee, straw. Interesting.

Can from Corti Bros. Pours golden copper with a slight beige head. Aroma is rather nice coffee. Med body. Flavor is coffee with some sweet malt support. Fairly nice, if you want a moderately coffee flavor beer.
