Imparting a dry roasted malt character, with subtle hints of cocoa, licorice and toffee, this brew possess a balanced hop spice and malty finish

Pour is a black with a large tan head. Aroma is a pretty decent roast/coffee/chocolate. Flavor is again pretty decent. Lots of roasted malt with a heavy char after taste. This is a well done beer. Lots of roasted malt flavor that stays with you long after the first sip.

Courtesy of Degarth. Pours clear amber with tan head. Doesn’t look as dark as most porters I’ve tried. The aroma is roasted malts, molasses, mild caramelization and no real sign of even faint burnt malts. The taste is mildly roasty with some just as mild burnt malts, faint earthiness, some kettle caramelization and notes of grainy malts. Pretty nice but not much of a porter influence as I think a porter would taste like, in my opinion.

Clear, dark amber pour with off-white head. Sweet aroma with notes of caramel with only slight hints of roast. The flavor is moderately sweet and very lightly bitter. The finish has a vague taste of roasted malts. Crisp, clean mouthfeel with lively carbonation. Far from a robust, roasted malty porter. Still, you could drink lots of this because it goes down easily. But it’s not much of a porter. So I am dividing the rating between a mediocre porter and a drinkbable ale. Thanks BigMilly8.

Bottle. Maple syrup, creamy chocolate malt aroma. Dark reddish brown color with small but persistant head. Smooth, creamy chocolate malt flavor with a hint of grapes in the finish. A very nice tasting porter - on the light side.
