Dark as the midnight sea, this medium bodied porter combines flavors from 8 malts, including 4 distinct chocolate malts (Victory, Chocolate, Rye and Midnight Wheat) with fresh nugget and cascade hops that work together to form a harmonious balance of aroma and flavor. Imparting a dry roasted malt character, with subtle hints of cocoa, licorice and toffee, this brew possess a balanced hop spice and malty finish

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Clear, orangey brown with a creamy, off-white head. Aroma of roasted malt. Rather light-bodied with notes of roasted malt and a vague, burned edge. Very subdued bitterness. All right, but not much of a Porter. 290806

An amber beer with an orange head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel and hints of alcohol. The flavor is sweet malty with a dusyt hop note, and a slight acidity. In my mouth this is not a Porter but closer to being a Brown Ale.

Thanks to Degarth for this. A long lasting, creamy, light brown head tops this dark brown porter. The aroma is nutty with some toasted, bready notes as well. The flavor is dominated by sweet malt with very subtle coffee and chocolate. The body is light to medium and although this brew lacks some of the aspects of the better porters, this would go down extremely well in hot, humid Florida where the heavier flavored/bodied Porters may drag a bit. A decent drinker.

This is a new beer to me coming in my monthly beer club. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer pours a dark brown color with a large creamy tan head. The aroma is maple syrup and molasses. The flavor is sour malt, maple syrup and molasses. A decent all around porter but certainly nothing special.
