Bottled. Reddish black colour with small foamy beige head. Sugary sweet malty aroma, very caramel like. Strong hoppy flavour with sweetish maty hints. Also some burnt notes along. Caramellish finish. Very pleasant dunkel.

(Bottle 50 cl) Reddish brown beer with some caramel in the nose. Slightly roasted notes from the dark malts (no less than four different are used). An excellent dark lager.

Bottle: Impressive sweetish aroma (roasted malts, caramel, hints of liquorice and coffee), clear, amber coloured, thin, white head; sweetish, toffee-like taste, that dominates till the bitter-sweet finish; very smooth and mild, light to medium bodied, extremely well rounded and well quaffable. One of the best Dunkels I know....

Bottled, 4.4% ABV (BB 27.06.04, labelled "Bohemia Regent")
Dark ruby color with creamy steady tanned head. Aroma has some caramel sweetness and roasted malt. Typical dark malt/roasted dunkel flavors with some bitterness in the finish but quite thin palate.

The aroma is slightly sweet and malty with some roasted character. The color is a beutiful deep red - almost brown - with a beutiful light brown head. The flavor is very soft and sweet with a prickling subacid livelyness on the tongue to start of. Then it faint notes of roasted malt hits you. The sweetness lingers - but becomes too much in the end.

Sampled draught at Soldaten Svejk, Stockholm, Sweden.
Dark ruby with creamy, stable beige head. Slight grassy hop aroma. Dryish with obvious coffee flavour and chewy maltyness. Creamy mouthfeel and a very light hint of butterscotch. The finish has low bitterness and is pleasantly velvetty.
